MSI prepares new GTX 970 LITE Edition
Apparently, the new GTX 970 of NVidia really hits the spot for gamers and enthusiasts who are quite conscious with their power bill. And while the demand for the card is just in so high levels, MSI is quickly making another iteration of the GTX 970 which they call the “Lite” edition.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 is currently selling like hot cakes as of the moment primarily because it offers really good performance at a much lower power consumption. The “LITE” variation of the card will most likely sport a lower factory-overclock compared to the standard GTX 970 that is being currently offered by MSI. This will surely make the card much more cheaper than the first release.
Unfortunately, source has not revealed any precise specifications yet for the card. But what we are sure about right now is that the MSI GTX 970 Gaming LITE Edition will have the Twin Frozr V custom dual-fan cooler, which is definitely a good cooler to the already-cool GM204 Maxwell GPU.
As for the pricing, Videocardz.com also found out that MSI is planning to put a price of the LITE edition close to the reference GTX 970 card, somewhere between US $330 and $340 or Php 14,500.
I really hope this card will arrive in Philippine shores (Yes, I’m looking at you PC Express) as GTX 970 is a really good choice for gamers who wants the best graphic performance and at the same time low electricity bill.
