Youtube 60fps Playback Is So Awesome To Look At
Months ago, video-streaming giant Youtube promised that it will allow video streaming on 60fps (frames per second). This just basically means that when you watch the video (especially if its a game) it will play much smoother compared to the usual 23fps or 30fps. Just take this video of Call of Duty Advance Warfare for example.

New options are now available for the viewers. The new added ones are the “1080p60 HD” and “720p60 HD”. Both resolutions will play 60 fps videos but I guess it will cost you a little more bandwidth than usual since these are really large files. This new feature will be limited to Google Chrome as of the moment but will certainly support other major browsers of today. Youtube has stated that they will still have the final say on what videos will have a 60fps support so that basically means that your cat and other kind of videos that does not really need 60 frames viewing will not be viewed under this new addition.
These are some examples of videos supporting 60fps playback;
Skyrim 60fps sample video
MarioKart 60fps sample video
I really think that this feature will greatly improve the immersion of the videos being watched. Especially if its a game. I have tried Batman in 1080p60 quality and I was blown away by the quality. It’s like you are literally playing the game in front of you.
